SCHUMANN 200 FESTIVAL - KING’S PLACE, LONDON (Box Office Now Open for Bookings) To celebrate the life of Robert Schumann (1810-1856), pianist Lucy Parham is directing a week-long festival at King’s Place. The Festival will explore the unknown alongside the well-loved Schumann, and events will include recitals, chamber music, talks, a film première and masterclasses. Performers and contributors will include Professor Robert Winston, Petroc Trelawny, Juliet Stevenson, John Lubbock, Lucy Parham, Ann Murray DBE, Natalie Clein, Jennifer Pike, Katya Apekisheva, Iain Burnside, OSJ, Raphael Wallfisch and Martin Roscoe as well as renowned German actor Sebastian Koch. Well-known personalities will assemble on Saturday 2nd for a charity performance on Kinderszenen. Performers include Edward Fox, Katie Derham, Alan Rusbridger, Kit Hesketh Harvey, Sarah Walker and Sue Perkins.
